Energetic Pointers
Posted on Wednesday, July 14th, 2010 at 7:23 amMy dog came to me by accident, she originally belonged to my son but he decided to go to university late on and he couldn’t take his dog with him. I said I’d look after her until he found someone for her but within two weeks, I’d decided to keep her. However, only a month after moving in with me, she was knocked down by a car just outside my door. She had to stay in vet hospital for 10 days and the vet said if it hadn’t been for the fact she was so fit and healthy, then she probably wouldn’t have survived. Needless to say, when she got home I was very keen to make her comfortable, so bought her a new tartan bed, and elevated dog feeders for dogs and lots of new toys. Five years on she is still a very energetic and fit pointer, but I just don’t let her off the lead near roads.
