Game time

Posted on Wednesday, December 30th, 2009 at 3:50 pm

I used to surf the internet and listen to the music or even play games for my fun. Because I like these all the activities for making fun for me. I generally listen to the sad music or love music we can say because I like English love songs. I play interesting PC games like GTA Vice City, Cricket and many more others like FIFA. I like to surf the different websites and also find the new software that the company has launched. Also I used to update my window also for making my fun. So these are the tasks I would like to do for my fun.

The True “King” of Pizza

Dinner at my house last night was from Pizza King, a franchise restaurant common in my home state of Indiana. I always order the same pizza: a large pepperoni, mushroom and extra cheese. Pizza King Pizza is deliciously unique for several reasons. It is cut into small squares instead of slices, which in my mind makes to easier to eat. The spicy pepperoni is chopped, not sliced, so it is sprinkled evenly over the entire pie. The crust is thin and baked to a crispy perfection that can stand up to extra cheese and toppings. For me, only one drink goes with pizza and that’s Diet Coke. It probably seems a little absurd to drink a low-calorie beverage with high-calorie food, but I like the taste. I don’t serve pizza too often in favor of more nutritious meals, but the Labor Day holiday gave me a good excuse to indulge.

Reality, Or Lack Thereof

Why are reality shows so popular?  I asked myself this question this morning as I flipped through the TV Guide and saw just how much reality television the mainstream and cable networks play these days.   The reality show is somewhat of a new concept, but it’s been around long enough now that it seems to have some kind of staying power. Why is this?  Why do every-day-Joe’s like watching other every-day-Joe’s do  every-day-type things (as in a Big Brother) or attempt to accomplish things we would never dream of (So You Think You Can Dance).  The best answer I have been able to come up with is that, put plainly, we like to watch other people fail.  It gives us a sense of superiority when we see yet another every-day-Joe fail to reach the high note or slip and fall on the stage.  In cases where supposedly experts are trying to accomplish a task (Hell’s Kitchen) why, that’s even better!  Those people are supposed to know what they’re doing!  It’s this selfish, narcissistic and yet completely human impulse that drives us to the television screen every night.

Voted “All That and a Bag of Chips”

Posted on Monday, December 21st, 2009 at 7:46 am

I was voted this in high school. Would I have agreed with this? Maybe back then. I was sort of popular. I didn’t take anyone’s BS. I was my own person, and didn’t let anyone step on me. I guess that’s why I got voted that. Now though, I am a completely different person. I have mellowed out a lot I think. My life has changed a lot since then. I am married now, have two children, and have grown up. I have been through a lot since high school, and that may have contributed to the change in attitude and demeanor. I am more down to earth now. Much more cautious than I used to be. I don’t trust people very easily and I always think that someone is out to scam me. After seeing so much of that in your life, you become weary of who people really are. I am an honest person. I was too back then. I made friends easily though once I got comfortable with my surroundings, but I am no longer like that. I am a loner now. Besides my family, I don’t have many friends. I just don’t want to deal with the hassle and the drama that sometimes goes along with having friends. Too much hassle and work. I enjoy the company of my family the most.

After reaching that place I and some of my relative start playing cricket we enjoy that cricket very much then while playing the cricket my foot slips and have a little injury on my left hand and little bleeding. Then after playing the cricket I was feeling very hungry then I went to some hotel to eat some thing then there I eat a lot of food because I was feeling hungry. There I eat the chicken and rice and then drink some Pepsi and than get off that hotel and went forward for the more enjoyment. I have a lot of fun there and this was my beautiful and best trip which I will not forgot. This I did my last weekend. I hope you will like it.

You Think You Have It Bad

Posted on Friday, December 11th, 2009 at 5:44 am

My absolute favorite show would have to be Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe aired on the Discovery Channel. Whenever this show is on I realize that my job is not nearly as bad as I thought. Mike Rowe has a great personality for this show, always willing to try new and creative things. Plus no matter the job that is recommended, he always enters with a positive attitude, willing to try and learn new things. This show also explores the variety of jobs that do exist within the United States and how each person shown is happy with the work that they do.

An Easy Day

Posted on Tuesday, December 8th, 2009 at 4:43 am

Yesterday was one of those easy days. Of course, it’s still the end of summer. I’m a counselor and I run a women’s support group. One of the women has recently retired so we all decided to go out to lunch together to celebrate. I answered some emails and did some writing in the morning and then met the group at an Indian restaurant nearby. It’s a new one, very cozy and well-decorated, so it was nice to try a new place. We each ordered something different and shared the food, which was spiced just so. After a couple of hours….we were the first ones there for lunch at noon and the last ones to leave at 2:30….we went our separate ways. I got in my car to run some errands and to pick up my teenaged son from a friend’s house.

Shopping Addict

Posted on Sunday, December 6th, 2009 at 3:42 am

One of the fun things I would like to do is window shopping. I don’t prefer to go alone. I would need somebody to accompany me, preferably girls. I would opt for some big shopping malls where I and my girl can spend lots of time together doing window shopping. Also it will be great if there is an eat out in the mall, where we can have some fast foods and have a great fun time together. Sometimes we spend almost the entire day in the shopping mall and at the end the day we return empty handed. I mean we literally won’t buy anything. But just roam around in the shopping mall for hours.

Diner Success

Last night was quite a culinary success in my home kitchen. For dinner, I prepared roasted chicken, garlic and herb mashed potatoes, and some locally grown corn on the cob. The roasted chicken was cooked to perfect and the meat was moist and dripping with flavor. The garlic herb mashed potatoes were the perfect consistency and had just the right amount of seasonings so that they were no overpowering. The locally grown corn on the cob was deliciously sweet and in my case, dripping with melted butter. Overall, I found that the meal was a delicious success and hope to recreate it again in the future.
