Choosing a perfect collar for your favorite pet dog is very important. There are many types of dog collars available in the market. But we need to select those which are suitable for our dog. We must not categorize the collars according to their color and price only. There are many other things one needs to keep in mind while purchasing one. The first thing you need to consider is to check the material of the collar. They are made up of mainly nylon and leather. Nylon dog collars are very durable and at the same time are inexpensive too. They can withstand much rough use. They are in fact suitable for those dogs who love to swim. However, some dogs are allergic to nylon collars. In that case, you may choose a leather collar. It is very difficult to maintain the cleanliness of a leather collar. Now, consider the size and shape of your pet dog. If it is a puppy, then choose a flat buckle collar. If it is stubborn then choose a choke collar to ensure others safety in public places.

I love to find a bargain and collect pottery. I Love expensive pottery but alas I only own small pieces of lesser priced pottery. I have some Red Wing Rum Rill. It is orange and looks like a trophy! That is the latest piece. I have a few native American pieces and I love the smallest of small jugs and ewers. I have some Frankoma which is very reasonable right now as well as prolific. I also love to play games on the computer like bingo and slots. If I had the money and the transportation I would frequent the casinos!

Last night we had a New Zealand Beef Chili with plum tomatoes and red kidney beans. It was delicious and It was called Kawana I think. It came in a plastic bag inside a cardboard tower and you slice a hole in the plastic and stand it up in the microwave. I cooked it for about three minutes and poured it in a bowl. I served it with a side of saltines, which we proceeded to crumble into the Chili. It was very hot. Not only the temperature but the fire in the Chili. The heat was intermittent so you enjoyed the Chili without the burn in your mouth. I would have to give this Chili an A++++!

When looking at the many products for dogs, you will find that some are useful and some are just for fashion. Dog pajamas actually can be both. First you do have to make sure that your dog will be happy wearing the pajamas and, also, safety is always a consideration in choosing the particular pajama for your dog. Make sure that there are no decorations or design elements that can be harmful to your dog, consider if the decorations can come off or get caught on furniture or anything in your dog’s environment. Pajamas can be useful to a puppy that wants to feel snuggly, or to an elderly dog that they would welcome the added warmth. Also, dogs recovering from health problems can feel more secure and warm while wearing pajamas. Doggie pajamas can be found in a variety of materials and the material should be chosen with the dogs needs in mind. There are lightweight fabrics, and there are warmer fleeces and thermal wear to choose from. Cotton fabrics are good all purpose choices and terrycloth is good for after a bath. There are many styles and colors to choose from and you will surely find the pajama that would be ideal for your dog.

My favorite season is Spring and I love when it starts to warm up, ever so slightly! The flowers start to peek there heads out and the trees begin to come back alive. When the snow is finally gone and the grass starts to show, we can finally get down to the business of taking care of the yard again. You have to love the sounds of the children playing outside again because the winter has all but silenced them. I love the birds coming home (I live in the North) and the geese flying in every evening, squalking about as they pass by.

I had a hard time sleeping and I got up real late. My daughter is sick with a sore throat and heavy chest so I had to call her out of school. I had to straighten out a transportation issue with the company that provides rides to and from the Doctor for me as I do not have a car. My mother in law is staying with me and we have just finished our coffee and I am going to surf on the Internet. Checking my mail and playing games like Bingo and Catch 21. The rest of the day is mine.

More about where I live. Oakland does not have a great crime rate and the schools are paltry at best. But, if you do your research and get in with a good school and find a neighborhood with a sense of community and safety, you are golden. Well, of course there is the cost of living. That is horrendous and would probably deter most people from moving here in the first place. A modest home that is out in the Oakland Hills would cost you at least $500,000 and that home would probably require at least 100,000 in immediate work for it to be livable.

I live in Oakland, CA and no other city compares to Oakland. There are a number of downfalls with this city and this area of the country but they are easily outweighed by its unique positive qualities. It is diverse, which for my family is an absolute deal breaker. Not only is it diverse but it is integrated and diverse. We have some of the most interesting activities that abound so that you never have a weekend where you just decide to go roam the mall or watch tv because there is nothing else of interest. Every weekend we bike, hike, go to the beach, go to the City, etc.

Today I wore biking shorts, fat-tire biking jersey and biking shoes with my helmet and biking gloves. After they got all sweaty and dirty I changed into a knee length Patagonia dress that is various shades of blue cotton. Very simple, yet very feminine and allows me to show off the muscles I got on my earlier bike ride. I threw a Gap denim jacket over top just in case the weather changes throughout the day and depending on where I go since we have many microclimates here in the Bay Area. I wore my very old keen slip-ons – they are red and spice up even the most boring outfit. I really need to buy a new pair though.

Boring as it may be and as much as my younger self would huff and puff at me for saying this, I love to listen to the news. I download various versions of it every day and try to stay in tuned with the news programs that are the least biased and most worldly. On Friday nights I watch Washington Week on PBS for the latest analysis of the week in politics and throughout the day I tune into the BBC World news so I don’t live in a bubble of nationalism. When I am not listening to the news, I enjoy half hour comedies but since the end of Seinfeld nothing really hits home as a must-see.
