Life and Stuff

Internet access is so wide-spread in today’s society, that many times we forget what it was like to be without it. Being able to “go online” and find anything you want to know, and some things you don’t, is a wonderful thing. It has also revolutionized entertainment. Websites like Hulu give you the opportunity to go online and watch television shows or movies instantly. You can listen to your radio through the internet. You can even talk to people on the other side of the world in real time. The internet is a truly miraculous invention. And I would like to take a moment to thank whatever brilliant minds dreamed it up. Here’s to dreaming of impossible things.

My computer is a Compaq Presario desktop computer. I’m not really sure how old it is because I got it second-hand. It runs really well, and I do like the fact that it has two hard drives. One thing I don’t have to worry about is running out of disk space. The downside is that it’s a desktop. It takes up entirely too much room, and it’s not portable the way a laptop computer is. But I guess I can’t complain about it too much. It’s not terribly slow and a desktop computer is better than no computer at all.

The worst date I have ever had was actually a blind date with one of my cousins to the Movies. Apparently his date had a sister and she wanted to go to the movies as well so I tagged along to help his game a bit. First we were waiting for forever so we were expecting well put women to reward our patience. This was not so as while my cousin’s date was well put together her sister seems to have taken the opposite approach. Let’s just say the fashions sense did not run in the family. Also she was very obnoxious and loud even when the movie was on she was talking and making remarks. Ohh the Horror.

That in itself seems to be the questions which most men find themselves in and normally warrants and bit of thinking past the superficial. First let me state the least significant… looks. My girlfriend is sexual appeal embodied and possesses the body most men dream of. Her sense of style is impeccable and does not lead me to ask if she cannot find something better to put on as in most cases I am always pleased. Mentally she can be challenge but that is also why I am attracted to her. She possesses her own views on life and is very outspoken in her values which most people so not posses.

Dog clothes are something peculiar. It is quite different from normal clothing used by human being. It is the cloth to cover the whole body of dogs, especially in winter season. It doesn’t mean that in other seasons dog clothes are not used. On special occasions dogs wear clothes. Dog clothes help them from dust and sun bite etc. It also protects them from diseases causing from surroundings. Dog clothes are of different in nature, color, style, making etc… Caution should be exercised on the selection of dog clothes according to its needs. It is safe to have the dog clothes worn by the dogs going for outing and for a walk.

I do like my current phone carrier (which by the way is my current employer). The name of this company is Digicel and it is located in Jamaica. This carrier is liked by me due to the fact that they came to Jamaica and broke the existing monopoly of cable and wireless, which had high prices and inferior service to the people. In addition they are very innovative and provide various products which most people can afford and are willing to engage in. Lastly they have been a positive influence in nation building and have done a lot of charity and regional projects towards the up liftment. of the Jamaican people.

I have been working on this project day in and day out.  My girlfriend is currently in the island so when I get home I make sure that we do something fun. On Saturday we spent all day in bed and on Sunday we went to the beach and spent all day laying in the sand and taking pictures. On Monday we went to the Movies and watched Avatar which was quite and enjoyable experience.  During the week we cooked together and experimented with various recipes.  Also we have done a lot of activity sharing to strengthen the bond we have with each other.

The sun is shining brightly outside my office window today, and we recently had a fluke warm front that melted a significant amount of our snow.  It’s one of those days when I’m reminded of the joys of living here, among intelligent, hard-working people with respect for each others’ individuality.  Later this week, however, temperatures are again forecast to plunge into the teens, and yet another snowstorm will arrive.  It will be more difficult then to recall why I’ve not relocated to a warmer, easier climate.  Yet I know one of my neighbors will snow-blow my driveway while I’m at work, and another might ask that I join his family gathering around their fireplace, and my love for the New England winter will promptly return.

If I was presented with the opportunity to have lunch with any three people, I would choose James Madison (primary author of the U.S. Constitution), George Washington (leader of the Constitutional Convention), and John Roberts (current Chief Justice of the Supreme Court).  Modern day judges have nothing but speculation of our founding fathers’ intentions upon which to base today’s court decisions.  It would be truly fascinating if a representative from our current age could probe the original authors’ motivations and clarify the interpretations of the Constitution as it is applied today.  It would also be astounding to hear Madison and Washington’s perspectives on current issues that they could never have foreseen, such as the widespread use of various technologies.

It’s simple for me to state my favorite food and drink, as they’re the same thing: ice cream.  Growing up, I lived half a mile from an ice cream stand with the most incredible selection of flavors and the hugest serving sizes.  Having ice cream for dinner (or any meal for that matter) was perfectly normal for me.  My love for the dessert persists, and I feel that ice cream suits any hunger or thirst situation.  If I’m stressed out, I eat a bowl, and if it’s a hot day, I go for a cone.  The beverage form, a shake, is perfect for a sore throat or for any time I need something easier to eat (like if I’m driving).
